Rufunsa District was alive with colour, rhythm, and cultural pride as the 2025 Nkomba Lyanga Traditional Ceremony of the Soli people took center stage in Shikabeta Chiefdom. Held under the inspiring theme “Development Through Hard Work,” this year’s ceremony blended cultural heritage with a powerful message of collective responsibility in shaping the future of rural communities.

This year’s ceremony was graced by the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Hon. Gift Sialubalo, who represented President Hakainde Hichilema as the Guest of Honour.
In his keynote address, Hon. Sialubalo called on traditional and civic leaders to adopt systematic, inclusive, and people-driven approaches when setting development priorities.
